Welcome to my Photography School Asia blog.
Here I will update the weekly process of my students work and describe the process and situation behind each of the photographs they take. Also documenting their experiences.

I love the capture above, what in the world was going on? Very gritty monochrome, do you shoot with film or digital?

This was shot on my manual FM2, TMAX 400 film, still my favourite camera.
The guys where off their faces on Thai Whiskey and Ya Ba, Thai crystal meth.
They stopped fighting at one point and got angry at me for taken their picture. It all got a bit hairy for a while until a rather large and jolly Thai lady steps forward saying " Oh he is alright, he's just doing a feature story". For some reason that pacified the combatants enough so they just got back to beaten each other up again.
Thanks for your comments Suby, my new section, explaining the courses available, will be on my website in a couple of weeks or so. The only other thing I love as much as photography is teaching photography so I am hoping it gets noticed.

wow. very powerful image. reminds me of that picture of the viet officer putting the pistol to the convict's head. The violence is countered by the scared face of the woman on the right. very gritty.
I used to use FM2 also, until the cost of developing (i don't develop my own rolls) got steep the more i shoot. I love that camera.
